Direct brow lift is a treatment that offers excellent and long-lasting results.
This type of surgery is often performed along with blepharoplasty.
What is a brow lift and what is blepharoplasty?
A direct brow lift is recommended to create a more youthful and refreshed appearance in the upper third of the face.
This procedure creates small incisions above the eyebrows which allow for precise lifting, immediately improving the appearance of a heavy brow that weighs down the eyelids.
A Brow Lift can also eliminate deep furrows and smooth the forehead area skin.
The importance of correctly marking the skin prior to the surgery being performed is absolutely paramount and as you can see from the video, Mr. Ferrando skills, are simply outstanding.
This surgery is performed under local anaesthesia with or without sedation.
The skin is cut, just above the eyebrow, a small dissection is made, the muscle is repositioned and stitches are applied. The scar will be very thin and hidden by the eyebrow itself.
It takes about 1 week for the stitches to come out and 2 weeks to fully recover from a brow lift.
Mr. Ferrando also performs Endoscopic Brow Lift, a procedure where small cuts are made behind the hairline and then an endoscope (small camera) is introduced through the cuts, which allows the surgeon to determine which areas require lifting.
The doctor will advise which procedure is more suitable for each case, during the consultation.
