Capillaries/Spider Veins

Spider Veins (thread veins)

Spider veins, is one of the most common veins conditions. They appear as thin ‘web like’ red, purple or dark blue coloured veins, just below the skin surface and they are often confused with varicose veins. Spider veins, to the contrary of varicose veins, are typically not swollen nor enlarged. While spider veins are not a serious condition, and they rarely need to be treated for medical reasons, they can often be the cause of severe embarrassment and discomfort (including heaviness and aching).

Dr. Ferrando’s choice of treatment for this condition is Sclerotherapy, a non-surgical option, which drastically reduces their appearance while restoring one’s confidence.
