Excessive Sweating, also called Hyperhidrosis, the medical term for excessive sweating, affects around 3% of the general population. Men and women are equally affected, with the most common occurrence in individuals aged 25 to 64 years.

A genetic Hyperhidrosis may cause embarrassment, low self-esteem and general discomfort in social situations. It occurs when sympathetic nerves cause sweat glands to produce too much sweat. The underlying cause is not known, but anxiety and other heightened emotional states can trigger the condition.

Mr Ferrando prefers to use the least invasive procedure that will meet your needs, and highly recommends Botox® – a safe and very effective remedy for excessive sweating. Purified Botulinum toxin injected into the underarm temporarily blocks the nerves that stimulate sweating.
