Restoring a Fresh, Well-Rested Appearance
The eyes are often the first area of the face to show signs of ageing.
Loose skin, puffiness and under-eye bags can make us appear tired even when we feel well.
Blepharoplasty, commonly known as eyelid surgery, is designed to restore a fresher, brighter appearance while maintaining the natural character of the eyes.
Upper Blepharoplasty
Upper eyelid surgery removes excess skin and, when appropriate, small amounts of fat.
Patients often notice:
- A brighter appearance
- Improved eyelid definition
- Less heaviness
- Easier application of makeup
In some cases, removing excess upper eyelid skin can also improve the visual field.
Lower Blepharoplasty
Lower eyelid surgery addresses under-eye bags, excess skin and, in selected patients, hollowness beneath the eyes.
Depending on the individual’s anatomy, different techniques may be used, including repositioning fat rather than simply removing it.
Recovery
Most patients experience bruising and swelling for one to two weeks.
Many feel comfortable returning to social activities after approximately 10–14 days, although subtle improvements continue over several months.
Natural-looking results
The goal of eyelid surgery is not to change the shape of the eyes but to restore a fresher, more rested appearance while preserving your natural expression.
